We are Angie and Larry Peirce. For the three decades we’ve been married and raised a family, Nebraska was home except for a three year stretch in Kansas. We both have small town roots. Larry grew up in Red Cloud, Nebraska, while Angie was a city kid in Lincoln and Omaha but spent her childhood summers with grandparents in Minneola, Kansas.

So it wasn’t a big culture shock when David City became our home in 2003, when Larry took on the editorship of the local newspaper. David City gave our family so much, and we enjoyed being involved in the community.

The background, the old demanding jobs, the raising of our kids, those are in the rearview mirror.  In 2018, there we were, empty nesters, so we embraced our dream of experiencing America while we still were young and mobile enough to enjoy it.

In the year and a half of traveling and working, the road has been kind to us, with some adversity mixed in, providing an abundance of interesting sights and new friends. Was it worth it?

We answer with a resounding yes. Although we left behind a place of great friends and fond memories, our time on the road has been filled with fun, wonders and also some challenges. And lots of learning along the way, about ourselves and this great country we live in.

We are always searching for the beautiful, the unique and the unexpected.

Along the way we’ll welcome  your recommendations for things to see and events to experience. Perhaps we’ll meet along the road and share smores over the campfire. Tell your friends about TQN and invite them to share in the fun.

Until next time. Happy Trails!
